Massive fire engulfs Aziz Market in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, spreading across hundreds of square meters and prompting an emergency response.
The market, located on Mahatma Gandhi Street, caught fire in one of the trading containers, Caliber.Az reports per Kyrgyz media.
Eight fire crews were deployed to extinguish the blaze, which has now been contained.
Preliminary estimates put the affected area at around 500 square meters.
No casualties have been reported.
Aziz market is a small wholesale and retail bazaar located on Mahatma Gandhi Street, providing about 120 trading spots and covering roughly 27,770 m² of territory for vendors and customers.
The market serves as a local food and goods trading hub in the city’s Pervomaysky district, offering fresh produce and everyday items to residents.
