Malaysian PM: Türkiye stronger than ever under Erdoğan’s leadership
Türkiye has significantly strengthened its influence on the global stage and emerged as a geopolitical power, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has stated.
Malaysian premier made the remarks during a ceremony where President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was awarded an honorary doctorate by Sultan Nazrin Shah of Perak, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.
The event took place at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur.
“Türkiye is a nation that has greatly enhanced its national consciousness, authority, and has become a geopolitical power,” Anwar Ibrahim said.
The prime minister also emphasized that, thanks to the efforts of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Türkiye is now stronger than ever before.
To recall, President of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has arrived in Kuala Lumpur for an official visit as part of a four-day tour of Southeast Asia aimed at bolstering diplomatic and economic ties.
During his stay, Erdoğan will deliver a speech to civil servants and students on the strategic partnership between Türkiye and Malaysia. Additionally, he will receive an honorary doctorate from the Sultan of Perak, Nazrin Shah, in recognition of his contributions to global diplomacy.
The Turkish leader is also set to engage with Malaysian business figures to enhance economic cooperation. Discussions will extend to regional and global issues, including the ongoing crisis in Gaza.
Following his visit to Malaysia, Erdoğan will travel to Indonesia, where he will co-chair a High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council meeting in Jakarta, before concluding his tour in Pakistan with a similar meeting in Islamabad.
