Man killed after throwing grenade at police in Ukraine's Dnipro PHOTO

A man was killed, and four police officers were injured after a grenade was detonated during an attempted arrest in the eastern Ukrainian city of Dnipro, according to Ukrainian media reports.

Police said they received a call at around 22:55 local time reporting a fight near a residential building on Luhovska Street in the Amur-Nyzhnodniprovskyi district.

Patrol officers were dispatched to the scene, where one of the individuals involved in the altercation threw a grenade in the direction of law enforcement personnel during the detention.

The explosion killed the suspect at the scene and left four police officers with injuries of varying severity.
