Mass protests resume in Iran
Mass protests have resumed in Iran.
According to footage published on social networks, residents of the Islamic Republic marched in Isfahan, chanting the slogan: "Women, life, freedom! The protestors burned tires in the streets where explosions were heard, Anadolu reported on November 10.
According to the official IRNA news agency, "Temporary damage was done to public order in Isfahan." In Tehran, protesters blocked roads.
Protests also took place in Mashhad, Rasht, Mahabad, Shahrekurd, Shiraz and Tabriz.
Students at Tehran University reported that those who took part in the protests were detained, some of them are not allowed to attend classes.
Students of Tabriz University of Arts and the University of Medical Sciences of Northern Khorasan Province also came out to protest.
Large-scale protests swept Iran after the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini.
The girl was detained on September 13 by the vice police for "improperly wearing a hijab" and died on September 16. In response, people in dozens of cities in Iran came out to protest.
A September 24 state television report said that dozens of people, including security forces, were killed in protests that turned violent.
The Norwegian-based Iranian Human Rights Organization (IHR) reported the deaths of more than 200 people during the protests in Iran.
