Mass shooting at US party leaves at least 10 hospitalised

At least 10 people were taken to hospitals after a shooting at a gathering near Lake Arcadia, outside Oklahoma City, according to local police.

Edmond police spokesperson Emily Ward said officers received reports of gunfire around 9:00 p.m. local time on May 3, Caliber.Az reports per foreign media.

The incident occurred during a party attended by young people, authorities said.

Officials noted that the number of injured may be higher, as some victims could have sought medical help on their own. The condition of the hospitalised individuals varies in severity.

Law enforcement agencies are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
