A massive wildfire in Norway’s Drammen municipality has destroyed more than 100 homes and forced several hundred people to evacuate, NRK reported.
The fire broke out on Friday, July 17, and remained out of control as of Saturday morning.
“We have not yet brought the fire under control. There are hot spots burning in several places deep in the forest, which we will have to fight throughout Saturday,” the head of operations for the Drammen regional fire department said.
Police said more than 100 homes had been completely destroyed.

Two people were hospitalised with symptoms of smoke inhalation, including a civil defence worker. One firefighter sustained minor injuries, while eight police officers also suffered from smoke inhalation.
