Media: Afghanistan strikes Pakistani military bases

The Afghan Air Force carried out new strikes on military bases in Pakistan, RTA reports, citing Afghanistan’s Ministry of Defense.

The reported targets included the Nur Khan base in Rawalpindi and the headquarters of the 12th Army Corps in Quetta, Balochistan province.

The Ministry stated that the strikes were in response to violations of Afghan airspace over Kabul and Bagram. Officials warned that “the more the Pakistani criminal group interferes with peaceful life, the harsher the response will be.”

Fighting between Afghanistan and Pakistan resumed in late January.
