03 January 2026 12:56
A Chinese delegation may have been caught in the crossfire during recent events in Venezuela, according to the Telegram channel Baza.
The report states that about 10 hours before the US-led attack, a meeting took place in Caracas between Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and the special envoy of Chinese President Xi Jinping, during which bilateral cooperation was discussed.
On Saturday, January 3, at least seven explosions were reported in Caracas, while US Marine Corps helicopters were observed flying over the city. Colombian President Gustavo Petro announced a military operation targeting Venezuela, prompting Maduro to sign a decree declaring a state of emergency across the country.
