Media: Cruise missile hits French-operated vessel in Persian Gulf waters

The cargo ship CGM San Antonio, owned by a French company, was struck by a land-based cruise missile in the Persian Gulf, two US officials told CBS News.

Sources said the vessel was attacked late in the evening near Dubai, with its current status and movement remaining unclear.

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) also reported that an unidentified projectile had hit the vessel.
