Media: Death toll exceeds 41,000 in Gaza due to Israeli strikes

At least 26 people have been killed and many others injured in the past 24 hours due to Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip.

Among the victims were at least five Palestinians who were in a school turned into a shelter for displaced civilians in Gaza city, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.

Since the beginning of the Israeli military operation in Gaza in October 2023, 41,182 Palestinians have been killed, mostly women and children, with an additional 95,280 individuals wounded.

The Israeli military launched a campaign in Gaza to destroy Hamas in response to an unprecedented attack on southern Israel on October 7, during which about 1,200 people were killed and 251 others were taken hostage.
