Media: Hormuz ship traffic drops to lowest level since June US-Iran accord
15 July 2026 09:03
The Strait of Hormuz recorded its lowest level of vessel traffic since the memorandum of understanding was signed on June 17, with only four ships transiting the waterway since the morning of July 14, Al Jazeera reports.
According to MarineTraffic data, the vessels consisted of one oil tanker and three container ships.
The tracking data also showed that all four ships departed from ports in Oman and the UAE before passing through the strait, but concealed their destination and ownership registration details on the return voyage.
