Media: Hungary to agree on oil purchase deal with  J.D. Vance

During a visit to Budapest, US Vice President J.D. Vance is expected to discuss with Hungarian authorities the conclusion of an agreement to purchase oil from the United States, Bloomberg reports, citing informed sources.

According to the sources, Hungarian energy company MOL Nyrt. plans to buy 500,000 tonnes of oil worth approximately $500 million. Further details have not yet been disclosed.

The deal is expected to be announced at a press conference attended by the Vice President and Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.

Vance arrived in the Hungarian capital, Budapest, earlier today.
