Media: Informal meeting of Kallas, EU FMs in Munich falls through

An informal meeting of European Union foreign ministers scheduled during the Munich Security Conference was cancelled after most ministers had already departed the city, Politico reports.

The session had been organised by EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas on the sidelines of the conference, which took place from February 13 to February 15.

According to the report, the cancellation was due entirely to logistical issues rather than any political disagreements, as the majority of ministers had left before the meeting could be held.

Politico added that in 2025, Kallas also organised a similar gathering, during which certain tensions emerged among the ministers.
