Media: Iran hits tanker preparing to pass Strait of Hormuz

Iran attacked an oil tanker that was preparing to transit the Strait of Hormuz despite prior warnings, Press TV reports.

According to the channel, the tanker’s crew of 20 people has been evacuated.

On February 28, Iranian media reported that the Strait of Hormuz had been “effectively closed” in response to US and Israeli attacks on the country.
