Since the ceasefire agreement came into effect in Iran, Iraqi Kurdistan has been subjected to 16 missile strikes and drone attacks, Rudaw reports.
The Kurdish media outlet reported that the region has continued to face attacks despite the ceasefire declared on April 8.
In the past 48 hours alone, eight rockets struck Erbil, while four hit Sulaymaniyah, the report said.
Rudaw added that between February 28 and the present, a total of 719 drones and rockets have been launched at the Kurdistan Region, resulting in 18 deaths and 94 injuries.
The report further emphasized that the attacks have persisted despite the declared truce, highlighting ongoing security concerns in the region.
