Media: Israel issues serious warning to Hezbollah
Israel has issued Hezbollah a warning about potential consequences if the group intervenes in a war with Iran.
Lebanese newspaper Nidaa al-Watan reports a sharp intensification of signals from Israel amid rising tensions over Iran.
International mediators recently arrived in Beirut and delivered clear and unambiguous messages from Israel to the country’s leadership.
A political source in Lebanon stated that Israel has made it clear that any intervention by Hezbollah in a potential conflict with Iran would be considered a red line. The messages emphasised that Israel has prepared a large-scale and destructive military scenario in advance, which would be implemented if the Shiite group becomes involved in hostilities.
The source noted that these were not public threats or attempts to pressure through the media. On the contrary, the information was conveyed as serious and intended solely for Lebanon’s decision-making centres, to ensure they fully understand the potential consequences of any move by Hezbollah toward escalation.
