Media: Israel prepares unprecedented military operation against Iran
Israel is reportedly planning a large-scale military operation against Iran, set to be the most significant since World War II.
The operation, which may be conducted either unilaterally by Israel or in cooperation with the United States, is expected to be a decisive strike against Iran’s nuclear program and its military capabilities, Caliber.Az reports, citing Israeli media.
The planned operation stems from insights gained during last year’s attacks on Iran, which provided a clearer picture of the nation’s defensive capabilities. Sources suggest that Iran’s air defense system could struggle to withstand a massive, sustained assault, with thousands of missiles potentially hitting the country over the course of several days.
The operation is anticipated to deliver a blow to Iran's nuclear development, which has been a focus of its efforts for decades. Additionally, Israel is expected to target the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the military wing responsible for Iran's strategic operations.
Experts warn that the scale and intensity of the planned attack could lead to catastrophic damage in Iran, rivaling the destruction experienced by sovereign nations during World War II. There is also speculation that the impact of the operation may have broader political consequences, potentially even leading to a regime change in Tehran.
