Media: One killed in southern Iran following US strikes
One person was killed and two others were injured in U.S. strikes on multiple locations in Iran's southern province of Hormozgan on July 12, Tasnim reports.
According to a source within the provincial administration, several areas, including Qeshm Island, were targeted in evening strikes, with multiple explosions heard across the region.
An employee of Iran's mobile network operator MCI (Hamrah-e Aval)was reportedly killed in the Farur area of Bandar Lengeh County. Two of the employee's colleagues were injured and hospitalised.
Provincial authorities are assessing the extent of the damage caused by the strikes.
Separately, Axios journalist Barak Ravid, citing a U.S. administration spokesperson, reported that the U.S. military had targeted Iranian missile systems, air defence complexes, and vessels belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in the Strait of Hormuz area.
