Media: Pakistan seeks to bring Iran into talks with US

Pakistan is working to facilitate talks between Iran and the United States and believes it can bring Tehran to the negotiating table, according to a senior government official.

Speaking to Reuters on condition of anonymity, the official said Islamabad has received encouraging signals from Iran regarding potential participation in the discussions.

“We have received a positive signal from Iran. The situation is unstable, but we hope they will be here when we begin negotiations tomorrow or the day after,” the source said.

The official added that Pakistan is maintaining active контакты with both Tehran and Washington as diplomatic efforts intensify ahead of a ceasefire deadline set by US President Donald Trump.
