Media: Russia breaks into Azovstal plant in Ukraine’s Mariupol

The Russian servicemen have been attacking the Azovstal steel plant in Ukraine’s blocked Mariupol city for the second day, in the dungeons of which there are Ukrainian defenders and civilians who have not been evacuated yet.

The assault was launched on May 3, after civilians were partially evacuated from the plant, Ukrayinska Pravda (Ukrainian Truth) newspaper reports with reference to its sources.

The Russian servicemen broke into the plant on May 4, which had previously been bombarded and shelled.

“Hostilities are intensively conducted at Azovstal. There is no communication with the Ukrainian fighters,” the newspaper wrote.
