Media: Two Iranian drones downed near Israel’s northern border, fire erupts in Golan Heights PHOTO/VIDEO
Israeli media report that two Iranian drones were successfully intercepted and shot down near Israel’s northern border, with debris from the downed drones igniting a fire in the Golan Heights.
Earlier in the morning, air raid sirens sounded twice in Kiryat Shmona and several other locations across the Upper Galilee region, signaling heightened alert amid ongoing hostilities, Caliber.Az reports, citing Israeli media.
According to reports, Iran launched over a hundred drones toward Israeli territory during the morning hours, all of which were intercepted by Israeli defence systems.
The latest incident appears to be a distinct attack, with sirens activating in Kiryat Shmona, Kibbutz Dan, and surrounding areas. The shrapnel from the destroyed drones reportedly caused a blaze in the Golan Heights, prompting fire response teams to contain the damage.
