Media: US ready to temporarily ease sanctions on Iran’s oil sector

The United States is prepared to temporarily suspend sanctions on Iranian oil trade under a draft memorandum of understanding with Iran, according to Iran’s Tasnim news agency.

The report stated that Washington would pause relevant sanctions during the course of negotiations.

It also noted that the release of part of Iran’s frozen assets is being considered as an initial step toward a potential agreement, citing what it described as previous negative experience of violations by the other side regarding asset unfreezing commitments.
