Media: US seeks to host talks between Lebanese and Israeli leaders

US President Donald Trump is seeking to arrange a meeting between Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House, according to a diplomatic Arab source cited by Al Mayadeen.

The source said efforts are underway to organise a meeting, with a tentative date of May 11 proposed for the talks in Washington.

According to the same source, the US Embassy in Lebanon is applying significant pressure to ensure that the meeting between Aoun and Netanyahu takes place in the US capital.

No official confirmation has been issued by the parties involved, and the agenda for the proposed talks has not been disclosed.
