Media: Yemen does not rule out clashes with US Navy amid rising tensions
Sources within security services in Sanaa have stated they are prepared to obstruct what they described as “hostile actions” by the United States in the event of further escalation surrounding the Strait of Hormuz.
Authorities in Sanaa also do not rule out the resumption of active armed clashes in the Red Sea, saying they are ready to support forces of the so-called Axis of Resistance in the context of an expanding US military presence, the Lebanese newspaper Al Akhbar reports.
They further made it clear that “the American military buildup in the Arabian Sea and its use by Washington to impose a blockade against Iran will soon be met with Yemeni intervention.”
According to them, Yemeni measures will be taken to prevent the use of the Arabian Sea to carry out hostile actions against Iran or any Muslim country.
