Mexico’s Chiapas shaken by 5.7-magnitude earthquake

A magnitude 5.7 earthquake struck Mexico’s southern state of Chiapas, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).

The epicentre was located 122 kilometres southwest of the city of Tapachula, while the quake originated at a depth of 10 kilometres.

No reports of casualties or damage have been received.
