Military gendarmerie discovers another drone wreck in northern Poland
The military gendarmerie in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship in northern Poland has launched an investigation after drone debris was discovered in the region, authorities said on September 30.
The gendarmerie noted that its unit in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship “is conducting operational actions at the site where an unidentified aerial object was found.”
According to RMF FM, the wreckage was discovered by a combine harvester operator in a cornfield. Law enforcement officials preliminarily believe it may be one of the drones that violated Polish airspace on the night of September 10.
Polish authorities previously reported that around 20 Russian drones entered the country’s airspace that night, with some penetrating nearly 300 kilometres from the eastern border.
