Czech military Venom helicopter crash kills one, injures three UPDATED

A Czech military Venom helicopter crashed on Thursday with five soldiers on board, leaving at least one person dead and three others injured, the Czech military has said.

The crash occurred around noon (1000 GMT) at an air force base in Náměšť nad Oslavou, about 180 kilometres (112 miles) southeast of Prague, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.

Regional rescue authorities said one person was killed in the accident, while three others were injured and taken to hospital for treatment.

The military has not released further details about the cause of the crash or the condition of the injured soldiers.

A Venom helicopter crashed at the 22nd Army Aviation Air Base in Náměšť nad Oslavou on July 22, with five soldiers on board.

Emergency services, including units of the integrated rescue system, were deployed to the scene following the crash, Caliber.Az reports, citing the X page of the Czech Armed Forces.
