Mine explosion kills two children in Afghanistan

An explosion caused by a landmine in Afghanistan has left two children dead and two others injured in the eastern province of Ghazni.

According to TOLOnews, the incident took place in the Khogyani district, where the children encountered an explosive device.

The two injured children were transported to a nearby medical facility to receive treatment.

The incident highlights the ongoing dangers posed by landmines and unexploded ordnance across Afghanistan. Despite continued demining efforts, such remnants of past conflicts remain a significant threat to civilians throughout the country.
