Ministry: Military helicopter crashes in Türkiye

A helicopter taking off from the second Cigli Air Base in Türkiye’s Izmir city has made an emergency landing due to a technical malfunction.

“The helicopter had to make an emergency landing due to a technical malfunction. One person was slightly injured in the incident,” Türkiye's Ministry of National Defence said, Caliber.Az reports citing SavunmaSanayiST.com’s message on X.

Milli Savunma Bakanlığı (MSB), İzmir'de Çiğli 2'nci Ana Jet Üs Komutanlığından kalkan bir helikopterin teknik arıza nedeniyle acil iniş yaptığını, olayda bir personelin hafif yaralandığını bildirdi.

The injured person was taken to the hospital.

An investigation into the incident has been launched.
