Chinese national accused of $10 million fraud in auto scam against Azerbaijan citizens Investigation underway

Wang Tianbao, a Chinese national, has been accused of embezzling over $10 million from dozens of Azerbaijani citizens. 

The allegations involve promises to provide vehicles in Baku in exchange for payments that were never fulfilled, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

Major Anar Gafarov, the head of the Media and Public Relations Department of Azerbaijan's Interior Ministry, confirmed that the matter is under strict oversight. The investigation has been assigned to the Investigation Department of the Khatai District Police Administration.

Currently, investigative measures are underway based on complaints from the victims.
