Missile and drone strikes reported across Ukraine

A combined missile and drone attack was reported across several parts of Ukraine on September 22, with fires breaking out at warehouses, industrial facilities and power infrastructure.

According to Russia-based Telegram channel SHOT, the strikes involved Geran-series unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as Kh-23, Tsirkon, Oniks-M, Kalibr and Iskander-M missiles. The reported use of these weapons has not been independently verified.

Fires were reported in Odesa and Chornomorsk following the strikes, with warehouse facilities belonging to Nova Poshta reportedly hit. Footage shared online showed smoke and flames rising from the affected areas.

A fire was also reported at a warehouse and utility building in Kyiv Region’s Brovary district. Local reports cited by SHOT indicated disruptions to electricity supplies in the area.

In Chernihiv Region, Geran-4 UAVs were reportedly used to target electrical substations. Images circulating online showed a fire at one of the sites.

Another fire was reported in Dnipropetrovsk Region following the strikes.

Among the other facilities reportedly targeted were the Kryvyi Rih metallurgical plant, the Pavlohrad Chemical Plant and the Kremenchuk oil refinery.
