Missile debris incident in Abu Dhabi leaves dead and injured
Authorities in Abu Dhabi have confirmed casualties following an incident in which debris from an intercepted ballistic missile fell on a residential area.
In a statement shared by the Abu Dhabi Media Office on the social media platform X, officials said emergency services responded to debris that landed on Sweihan Street after air defence systems successfully intercepted the missile, as per Caliber.Az.

“Abu Dhabi authorities have responded to an incident involving falling debris in Sweihan street, following the successful interception of a ballistic missile by air defence systems. The incident resulted in the deaths of two unidentified individuals, three injuries, and damage to a number of cars. Further updates will be provided in due course.
The public is advised to obtain information only from official sources and to avoid spreading rumours or unverified information,” the statement said.
Authorities did not provide additional details on the origin of the missile or the identities of the victims, but said updates would follow as more information becomes available.
