Missing Ukrainian teenager found dead in Netherlands PHOTO

The body of a 16-year-old Ukrainian boy living in the city of Heemskerk was found in a pond within Scheybeeck Park in the Netherlands.

Authorities have not disclosed the cause of death, and the investigation remains active, Caliber.Az reports, citing NL Times.

The boy, named Milan, went missing on Christmas. He was last seen near his home while going for a walk. Around 700 volunteers joined the police in searching dozens of locations across the region.

Police previously stated that the teenager had an intellectual disability and struggled with speech.

Investigators took some time to confirm the identity of the body recovered from the water at Scheybeeck Park on December 29. The case was initially treated as a death investigation.
