Moldova is set to bolster its defence capabilities with the acquisition of 14 additional Piranha armored personnel carriers (APCs) and individual air defence systems in 2025.
According to Interfax, German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius said during a press conference in Chisinau that a contract has already been signed for the delivery of the new batch of Piranha APCs and logistics transport vehicles.
In addition to these, Moldova will also receive a new consignment of medical equipment for its National Army.
"Next year, Moldova will also receive an air defence system to protect its airspace from drones and other threats," Pistorius stated, underscoring Germany's commitment to enhancing Moldova's defence infrastructure.
