Molotov cocktail attack targets Islamic site in western Ukraine PHOTO
An unidentified individual threw two Molotov cocktails at an Islamic religious and cultural centre in Lviv, western Ukraine, according to regional police.
The incident occurred on April 28, the Lviv Regional Police said in a statement.
“According to preliminary findings, an unknown man threw two bottles containing a flammable mixture into the premises and then fled the scene. The liquid from one of the bottles ignited, but one of the staff members extinguished the fire,” police said.

Authorities confirmed that no further damage or casualties were immediately reported.
Law enforcement officers are carrying out initial investigative actions and are working to identify witnesses and possible eyewitnesses. Measures are also being taken to establish the identity of the perpetrator.
The targeted site was identified as an Islamic religious and cultural centre, and the circumstances surrounding the attack remain under investigation.
