Moscow intercepts 13 Ukrainian drones in major air defence operation—mayor
Moscow’s air defence forces successfully shot down thirteen Ukrainian drones targeting the city today, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, reported on his official Telegram channel.
Sobyanin noted that emergency response teams have been deployed to the locations where drone debris landed, in order to assess the situation and mitigate any potential hazards. The mayor emphasized the swift coordination between air defence units and city services to ensure public safety amid the aerial threat.
No casualties have been reported so far, and authorities continue to monitor the city’s airspace for further developments.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defence reported that over the course of the night, air defence units intercepted and destroyed 90 Ukrainian drones across nine regions of Russia and over the Black Sea.
In Tver, a drone strike on a residential building resulted in injuries to seven individuals, four of whom—including a child—remain hospitalized. Additionally, fragments from the downed drone landed on the parking area of a local shopping center.
