Mossad steps up outreach to Iranians via Telegram
Mossad has stepped up its efforts to communicate directly with the Iranian public by posting a message in Persian on its Telegram channel, calling on followers to “smile” because “only one step remains” and inviting them to get in touch with the agency through what it described as a secure channel.
According to The Jerusalem Post, screenshots circulating online that reference the message indicate that the post said people who had “made the right decision” could expect “a safe and better future in a new Iran” for themselves and their families.
The message forms part of a broader campaign launched by the Israeli intelligence service in late February, when Mossad announced the creation of a Persian-language Telegram channel aimed at establishing direct communication with the Iranian public.
At the time, Mossad stated that Iranians were “not alone” and urged them to share photos and videos connected to their struggle against the “regime.”
