Musk pledges to give people "superpowers" with brain chips
American entrepreneur and billionaire Elon Musk has pledged that his company Neuralink will enable people to achieve "superpowers" through brain implants.
Musk made this bold statement during a recent appearance on the Lex Friedman podcast on YouTube, Caliber.Az reports.
"We're going to give people superpowers," Musk declared in the interview.
He emphasized the transformative potential of Neuralink's technology, which aims to revolutionize human capabilities by integrating advanced brain implants.
Musk's remarks follow Neuralink's announcement of successfully implanting its chip in a second patient. The entrepreneur outlined several groundbreaking applications for the technology, including the treatment of neurological disorders and diseases that are currently difficult to address with conventional methods.
According to Musk, the Neuralink chip has the potential to offer "eagle vision" and even restore vision to those who are blind. He expressed confidence that the implant could fundamentally alter the way individuals experience and interact with the world.
Musk also noted that users of the Neuralink implant would perceive traditional interactions with people and computers as "excruciatingly slow" compared to the enhanced cognitive and sensory abilities provided by the chip.
"This technology will change lives," Musk asserted. "Imagine a world where people with Neuralink can process information and interact with their surroundings at speeds and with clarity far beyond current human capabilities."
