Mystery drone appears in yet another Romanian region

A drone without an explosive payload has been discovered in northwestern Romania, in Maramureș County, according to TVR.

The incident took place near the settlement of Băsești. Local authorities said the object is a large drone with a wingspan of around three meters.

The discovery comes amid media reports of another drone crash in the city of Galați.

The area where the drone was found has been cordoned off. The Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Cluj Court of Appeal has launched an investigation, and authorities are working to determine the origin of the device and how it ended up in the region.
