Nakhchivan to host third “Return to Western Azerbaijan” festival-congress in June
The third “Return to Western Azerbaijan” festival-congress is scheduled to take place on June 18–19 in Ordubad, located in Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
The event is being jointly organised by the Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the Ministry of Science and Education, Nakhchivan State University, and the Community of Western Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
The congress component will bring together scholars, researchers, and public figures to discuss the historical heritage of Western Azerbaijan, examine current narratives surrounding the region, and explore prospects related to return.
Alongside the academic sessions, the festival will showcase cultural performances, artistic works, and presentations highlighting national traditions and themes of unity.
