NATO allies agree to establish European hub for Patriot missile maintenance
The United States, Poland, Germany, the Netherlands, and Sweden signed an agreement on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Ankara to establish a European maintenance facility for PAC-3 missiles used by Patriot air defence systems, Polish Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced.
“This will significantly increase capacity and accelerate the production and maintenance of missiles.
To those who have been claiming for days that Poland is losing its defence capabilities, we are proving just how wrong they are.
Our goal is not only to purchase modern weaponry, but also to produce and maintain it in Europe — with Poland playing a key role,” Kosiniak-Kamysz wrote on X.
Podpisaliśmy porozumienie z USA, Niemcami, Holandią oraz Szwecją w sprawie utworzenia w Europie centrum serwisowania pocisków PAC-3 do systemów Patriot.
