NATO believes its members should prepare for tense relations with Russia

NATO countries should prepare for several more years of tension in relations with the Russian Federation, NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoană, said.

Geoană made the remarks answering a journalist’s question about what will happen if Vladimir Putin is re-elected as President of Russia, Report informs citing TASS.

"We must prepare for at least several more years of tense relations," Geoană said.

The NATO Deputy Secretary General is on a visit to the Romanian city of Constanta, where he met with port staff and presented his book “The Battle for Romania’s Future”.
