NATO chief to meet US president in Washington visit
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte is scheduled to visit the United States from April 8 to 12, with a programme centred in Washington, D.C., according to an official announcement.
On April 8, Rutte will meet with US President Donald Trump, as well as Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth.
The discussions are expected to focus on transatlantic security issues and NATO-related priorities.
On April 9, the NATO chief will deliver a speech and participate in a discussion hosted by the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation Institute, a policy forum that regularly convenes discussions on global affairs and leadership.
From April 10 to 12, Rutte is due to attend the Bilderberg Meeting, an annual private gathering of political leaders, business executives and experts.
