NATO chief urges Western nations to boost military aid to Ukraine
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has called on Western nations to urgently ramp up military assistance to Ukraine, stating that this support is crucial to altering the course of the ongoing conflict.
Rutte emphasized that while Ukraine has managed to sustain its fight thanks to Western aid, more action is needed to shift the tide of the war, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
Rutte urged Ukraine's allies to not only enhance air defence systems but also fulfill the pledges made during the NATO summit in Washington. These commitments include the provision of up to €40 billion in aid by the end of the year.
According to Rutte, increasing military support is essential to ensuring Ukraine's continued resilience and success on the battlefield.
The call for more aid comes amid ongoing challenges for Ukraine, as it continues to face significant pressure from Russian forces.
