NATO Chiefs of Staff to convene in Brussels to boost support for Ukraine

The Ukraine-NATO Council is set to meet at the level of Chiefs of General Staff on January 21–22 at NATO headquarters in Brussels, NATO’s press service confirmed.

The meeting will be conducted within the framework of the NATO Military Committee. On January 22, the Chiefs of Staff are expected to review the current operational situation in Ukraine and discuss the Alliance’s ongoing support for Kyiv, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ukrainian media.

Key topics on the agenda include security and training programs for Ukraine, under the NATO Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine (NSATU) initiative, as well as the work of the Joint Analysis, Training and Education Centre (JATEC).

NATO has not yet disclosed which Ukrainian officials will participate in the Council meeting.
