NATO's Stoltenberg believes Ukrainians capable to efficiently operate Leopard-2, Abrams tanks
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has expressed confidence in the Ukrainian army and believes they will be able to operate the newly announced German and US battle tanks that will be supplied to Kyiv.
"Ukrainians have proven extremely skilled and capable in the operation of the equipment that NATO allies have provided. I'm absolutely certain that they will be able to do that also with main battle tanks from NATO allied countries, especially because many of them have already experience from the frontlines, operating armoured vehicles and battle tanks. This is useful background when they start training on modern NATO battle tanks", Stoltenberg stated during an interview with CNN on January 25.
“If President Putin wins, it is a tragedy for Ukrainians, it also dangerous for us. It is in our security interest to support the Ukrainians”, he urged.
