NATO troops to fall under command of alliance’s joint forces leader Pentagon announces
The armed forces of NATO member countries will soon be placed under the authority of the Commander-in-Chief of the Alliance's Joint Forces in Europe.
This significant development was announced by US Assistant Secretary of Defence for International Security Affairs Celeste Wallander during her address at the Warsaw Security Forum, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
“NATO allies, including the United States, will place all of their national defence forces under the control of the Commander-in-Chief of the Alliance's Joint Forces in Europe to ensure the protection of the alliance,” Wallander stated.
This move is part of a broader strategy to enhance coordination and readiness among NATO forces amid evolving security challenges.
