Naval mine found on beach near Midia training range in Romania

On January 28, a naval mine was found on the beach in front of the Midia training range in Romania.

Specialists were dispatched to neutralise it, Caliber.Az reports, citing Romanian media.

Representatives of the Ministry of National Defence announced on Wednesday that personnel from the Midia range discovered a naval mine stuck on the beach in front of the training area.

“With the support of the Constanța County Police Inspectorate, the perimeter was secured and operational measures appropriate for such a situation were implemented. A team of combat diver-sappers from the 39th Diver Center is working to identify and neutralise the discovered mine,” the Ministry of National Defence said.
