NBC: US estimates potential Iran war could cost up to $100 billion

The potential cost of a war with Iran could reach between $80 billion and $100 billion, significantly higher than the most recent estimate of about $30 billion, according to NBC News, citing three U.S. officials and three people familiar with internal cost estimates.

The report said internal U.S. assessments suggest that the financial impact of a conflict with Iran could be more than three times higher than earlier projections.

Neither U.S. officials nor the White House have publicly commented on the reported estimates.
