Netanyahu accuses Hezbollah of “dismantling” Israel-Lebanon ceasefire
26 April 2026 15:56
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that Hezbollah’s conduct in Lebanon is “dismantling” the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon, Al Jazeera reports.
“It must be understood that Hezbollah’s violations are, in practice, dismantling the ceasefire,” Netanyahu said during a weekly cabinet meeting.
The ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon was extended by three weeks on April 23.
Hezbollah has rejected accusations of breaching the ceasefire, calling them “meaningless” and accusing Israel of violating the truce through ongoing strikes and a continued military presence. The group insists its actions are defensive responses to Israeli violations.
